Picking up and dropping off the car was a little time-consuming and involved a lot of waiting around. Aside from that, I had no issues whatsoever. The car was clean, comfortable, and in good condition, staff were friendly and polite, and there were no problems.

We found the staff very friendly and accommodating our needs. The location is great - right in Halifax downtown core. The only problem is the Avis rental system which, as a standard solution, cancels your existing reservation if you are late for pickup. Even though we’ve informed the staff that our flight is late and we cannot pickup the car before the rental office is closed the system requested to cancel the contract and open a new one, if cars are available…. We were just lucky that the Manger helped us to rectify it but we could not extend our rental for another day (that we lost due to late arrival). Overall great experience dealing with Management!!!

My experience with my car rental was overall excellent. In particular, the staff person was very efficient, friendly, and he multi-tasked smoothly. These attributes were especially noticeable as it was very busy and the storm, Fiona, was just receding. Than you for the car and for the service.

There was an extremely long line of customers waiting to get their cars with only 2 employees working, one of whom was being monitored which slowed her down immensely. The process was made longer due to the questionable requirement of the agent to try to upgrade you to a more expensive car and then to buy extra car insurance. Maybe if you cannot staff adequately you could forgo the extra sales efforts? Or maybe the lady standing there watching could fire up a terminal and get some travelers on their way?

Very accommodating, had no issue at all except at check in, the clerk wanted me to sign the inspection slip of the car without actually going out to inspect the car before leaving.. maybe he was new and that’s ok bc I just advised that we should go look before signing anything..

I thought the staff was nice, but the hotel let someone block my way out so I had to sit for 10 minutes before I could leave because someone went shopping and had to load all the bags while a hotel staff member blocked the driveway and the shopper blocked the fire lane. Also, would not have rented here if I knew I was getting a charger. They said it was the only “small car” they had. A charger isn’t a small car, it takes up a full lane and the hood is so large it reflects sunlight into the drivers eyes and is blinding. Won’t rent here again unless they have actual small cars available.
