I wasn't able to go thru with my rental because i didn't have a major credit card and it was never told to me that they did not accept chime credit cards, so I wasted an entire trip to the location all for nothing.

The line was outside inthe heat and direct sun. It took a long time bc there weren’t enough staff. I requested an economy car but ended up with a huge massive 4-foot truck for one person! What a fossil fuel waste! When I looked at my reservation, it magically delineated a “mystery car” I did not agree to that. I loath surprises and would never seek t mystery car. Not a happy customer.

When I got my car in KC and started it up I got a low tire pressure warning on the passenger’s side rear tire (6 psi). They exchanged the car for me without a problem but the next car had a former driver’s rental contract still in the car. Seems to me the cars are not being inspected/cleaned very well before sending them out again?

when calling to verify pickup times, we were given different messages EVERY single time. the agents we spoke with clearly did not know their business and caused us much duress. Our plane arrived after their closing time of 10pm.... we were told not to worry, someone would wait for us; another time we were told no one would be there to give us our car and we should cancel and try to find a different rental company; another person told us they had to file a request for someone to stay late for us and that they would submit it for us and it would take 72 hours to get back to us with the answer, no one called us back, we called them, they said there was no answer so there probably would be no one there; another person said that everyone else we'd spoken to was mistaken and that there was a new policy that someone would stay until all customers with reservations picked up their cars so not to worry, etc, etc, etc, it was awful

Pickup customer service was extremely bad. Took more than 30 min at counter to get my vehicle. Person at the counter was not efficient and very slow in the movement, couldn't read or type at normal speed so I had to go to next counter to get my vehicle. Staff at pick up in the lot and drop off was nice and efficient.

Fact that I called and verified why you spoke a debit card because I do not have credit cards. But upon arrival was denied because I didn't have a credit card. I had a court date I couldn't miss but ended up missing anyway due to all of this. Safe to say credit cards are the only means to rent a vehicle.

Had to stand in the broiling sun while returning my nasty dirty dented vehicle with no shade whatsoever. Upon speaking to the poor employee who was directing where to return the vehicle he stated he had asked management for some sort of covering for themselves and customers and was ignored. I felt horrible for the poor guy standing in the broiling sun

I typed in STL and they sent me very far away from the airport. The Hertz desk at the airport did absolutely nothing to help me. They said that I had to go online and call Hertz. It cost $45 each way in an Uber. The electric car charged at 25 mph. It was the worst car renting experience of my life.

I originally booked a one-way rental car that was supposed to have been picked up from downtown location. However the agency called and cancelled my reservation the night prior to pick up. I was left to find another vehicle on my own —— at a much higher rate $$$. This was very inconsiderate on the part of Hertz.

Easy process. Only issue we had was when we were trying to move our pick up time to earlier the person I spoke with told us he couldn't because Hertz is not open on Sunday and we would have to drop the car off on Monday. We've rented from this location and dropped off before so we just cancelled online and rebooked there as well. Not sure what that person was looking at, but had no issues dropping off yesterday.

The pickup location was wrong. It was not at the airport. Had to take a Lyft to get the car and pay to drop off at a different location (Lambert airport). Staff at both places very harried and insisted I made the booking wrong.

When I picked up the vehicle, the one they gave me first was already booked for another customer, so I had to turn back around from the exit gate to take the car back, explain the issue, have them find me a different car, and then move my items and family into another car. I was also frustrated that they seemed to have no info from my online booking other than my name and time and I had to fill out some of the info all over again. I also was asked about insurance when I had already purchased protection. All-around, it was very frustrating. I do want to note that the drop-off was easy and they did save me the hassle of taking the shuttle back because the employee checking us in drove us to the airport dropp-off. That was a nice touch.

We used a 3rd party to book and and had multiple charges on my account that I had to spend an hour or more on the phone and at the counter getting fixed. I still do not have this matter fixed. I will never recommend or use priceline or Payless car rental again. Horrible experience.
